High school Athletes of the Week

Matt Eddy

Clay-Battelle senior guard Matt Eddy had a hot hand for the Cee-Bees last week. In two games, Eddy scored 57 points, including 43 in an overtime loss to Liberty. Eddy, who leads the area with 51 3-pointers, connected on 11 3-pointers for the week and averages 17.1 points.

Ronnie Shaver

Morgantown senior forward Ronnie Shaver led the No. 6 Mohigans to two big victories last week. Against No. 8 Parkersburg South, Shaver scored 27 points to help MHS get it's first sweep of the Patriots. Shaver also scored 11 points against cross-town rival University High.
