Having a chance to be part of a program on the rise and the opportunity to be reunited with his older brother was too much for Morgantown High receiver Seth Fogarty to pass up.

Fogarty announced Tuesday that he would continue his career at the University of Connecticut.

"It was a decision that really wasn't made until (Monday) night," Fogarty said. "I was on the phone with UConn, West Virginia and Penn State pretty late into the evening."

Last year, Fogarty caught 71 passes for 1,106 yards at MHS, all from older brother Shane Fogarty. Shane is being redshirted as a quarterback at UConn.

"Basically, UConn had the extra bonus of my brother being there," Seth said. "No other school had that."

UConn is set to join the Big East in 2005 and is set to play in a brand new stadium next year, in Hartford, Conn.

"Being able to be part of building a program was exciting to me," Fogarty said. "I felt that I could make a bigger contribution at UConn."
