Kameron Law led three players in double figures with 15 points and added seven rebounds Saturday to lead the Morgantown High boys' basketball team to a 69-53 victory over John Marshall.

The Mohigans (6-2) got off to their customary hot start, taking a 22-9 lead after the first quarter, and held a 42-24 halftime lead. John Marshall cut the deficit to seven points at one point in the second half before MHS put the Monarchs (2-7) away.

Tyler Benson sunk four 3-pointers for the Mohigans and scored 12 points and Seth Fogarty added 11.

* Bryan Phillips sank two free throws with three seconds remaining to give University High a 55-54 victory over Brooke.

The victory ended an eight-game losing streak for the Hawks (3-8). Oddly enough, it was Brooke that began the losing streak last month.

Phillips' free throws gave UHS a 55-51 lead. The Bruins (3-7) hit a desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Casey Jackson led UHS with 15 points and Robby Dinsmore added 13. Kyle Scherich scored 24 to lead Brooke.

* Trinity couldn't overcome a cold first half and lost to Paden City, 53-45. The Warriors fell behind, 27-13, after two quarters. They cut the lead to four in the second half but couldn't get closer. Brian O'Neil led the Warriors with 21 points. Tim Hamme l topped Paden City with 19.

* WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- Corey Walsh and Nate Stoner scored six points each as Waynesburg Central bolted to a 16-2 lead and coasted past Clay-Battelle, 72-53.

Walsh scored 15 and Stoner 11 for the game. P.J. Schumacher led the Raiders with 17. Mike Simpson had a 20-point night for the Cee-Bees. Beau Wilson added 11 and Justin Lucas 10.
