* BROOKE -- Marlan Robinson powered his way to 21 points and eight rebounds, and Morgantown High raced past Brooke, 78-52.

Chris Carey added 16 points and Dustin Kerns 12 for the Mohigans, who hammered Brooke on the boards, 32-12.

But "The best thing we did was, we ran the ball," MHS coach Tom Yester said. "And we were effective off the run. Dustin Kerns had eight assists and Chris Carey had six, so those two really got the ball where it needed to be.

"We pushed the ball down and changed defenses effectively and were able to go in at halftime with a nine-point lead, then jumped that out in the fourth quarter to 17 and pretty much maintained that using everybody off the bench. Some great contributions there."

Kerns also had four steals to just one turnover. "That's a real nice night," Yester said. "Marlan, Dusty and Chris were outstanding tonight."

Gary Wallace topped Brooke, with 18 points.
