JV's Upset By Strong South Team 2/28/05
Parkersburg South (21-1) came to the MAC and conquered the undefeated Mohigans (19-1) by a score of 54-52 on Saturday evening. No Mohigan scored in double figures and MHS made only 22 shots and were outscored at the foul line by 11 points. Jared Ramsey, who has suffered from a nagging injury all season led the way with 9 points, and Derek Long added 7 assists. Morgantown claimed the NCAC Championship earlier in the week with a 14-0 record.

JV'S STORM PAST POLAR BEARS 2/24/05
Jamie Karraker led four scorers in double figures with 17 points as the Mohigans (19-0) trounced West Fairmont by a score of 79-31, Thursday night at the Armory. Cameron Taylor (16 points), Andrew Saab (16 points) and Nathan Pearson (10 points), led MHS to the rout. Morgantown will host undefeated Parkersburg South on Saturday night at MHS.

MOHIGAN JV'S RUN RECORD TO 18-0 2/23/05
The MHS JV team continued to win impressively with a 70-18 win over an outmanned Buckhannon Upsher JV team. Morgantown jumped out to a 25-4 score after one quarter and coasted from there. JT Lewis sparkled with 12 points 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Elliott Law continued his consistent play with 10 points, three steals and 2 blocked shots. Cameron Taylor and Huston Strader combined for 10 points and 10 rebounds in the post.
MHS will play at West Fairmont on Thursday and host undefeated Parkersburg South on Saturday evening at the MAC.

JV'S RUN RECORD TO 16-0 2/15/05
The JV team won their sixteenth game in a row as they defeated Elkins by a score of 73-45 on Tuesday night at the MAC. Jamie Karraker led the way with 18 points on 7-10 shooting. Huston Strader continued his recent surge as he totaled 11 points. JT Lewis had 7 rebounds, Derek Long added 5 assists and Elliott Law had 3 steals. Morgantown jumped out to a 21 point half time lead and coasted to the final score. MHS will host Brooke on Friday evening.

JV'S (15-0) win at Martinsburg 2/11/05
The JV team ran into another slow down and handled it very well as they defeated Martinsburg 47-35. Martinsburg was held to 10 fieldgoals. Leading the way for the Mohigans was Derek Long with 10 points. Andrew Saab added 7 points followed by Elliott Law, Jared Ramsey and JT Lewis with 6 points a piece. MHS (15-0) will host Elkins on Tuesday at the MAC.

LAW COMES UP BIG VS. UHS 2/10/05
Elliott Law put his much improved game on display at UHS on Thursday night. The 6'3 sophomore, who has been mainly a substitute during the past, made his mark using his quickness and strength to help power the Mohigans (14-0) to a 77-43 victory over crosstown rival, UHS. Law had 14 points to lead a balanced attack and Derek Long recovering from a car accident to have 13 points seven assists. JT Lewis had his normal floor game with many steals and 5 assists. Andrew Saab continued his development to add 12 points and Jamie Karraker had 10 points.

JV'S CONTINUE TO WIN 2/5/05
Despite the loss of Derek Long, MHS continued their undefeated JV season on Saturday by defeating Wheeling Park. Jamie Karraker led the way with 15 points, JT Lewis and Andrew Saab finished with double figures as Morgantown extended its record to 13-0. Long who missed the game due to injury is expected to be ready to play Thursday night at University.

MOHIGAN JV'S HANG ON 2/03/05
The Husky JV team challenged the MHS JV's to a slugfest on Thursday and the Mohigans once again came away victorious. Using solid defense Morgantown held North Marion to 7 field goals in the second half and outlasted Huskies 52-48. Andrew Saab was deadly in open court and led the team with 13 points. Elliott Law had several key defensive plays and added 7 points and 6 rebounds, Derek Long added 7 points and 3 steals, JT Lewis 6 points and 9 rebounds, and Jamie Karaker was three for three from three point range. MHS moves to 12-0 and hosts Wheeling Park on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the MAC.

JV'S TOUGH AGAIN
The MHS JB team looked tough again on Thursday evening as they routed West Fairmont by a score of 81-44. Elliott Law led the team with 13 points and 5 assists, while Jamie Karraker added 13 points as well. Derek Long added 10 points and his usual strong floor game with 4 assists and 4 steals. Huston Strader is starting to round into shape as he contributed 10 points and 7 rebounds. Josh Matheny and Cameron Taylor added 8 points and did not miss a shot between them. Morgantown (8-0) will travel to Buckhannon next Tuesday and host UHS next Thursday.

EAST FAIRMONT NO MATCH FOR JV'S 1/18/05
The JV's ran their record to 7-0 with an 80-25 victory over East Fairmont on Tuesday evening at the MAC. Jamie Karraker scored 22 points to lead the way as he showed a terrific shooting touch. Josh Matheny gave the Mohigans a one- two outside punch as he talied 10 points. Derk Long and Elliott Law continued to impress with 6 assists a piece and Cameron Taylor added 6 blocks. MHS will host the Polar Bears on Thursday evening.

MOHIGAN JV ROUTE EAST 1/16/05
The MHS JV team showed its strength in a 71-39 victory over East Fairmont on Tuesday evening at “The Hive”. MHS had only one player score in double figures as JT Lewis garnered 11 points. Everyone else scored between six and nine points as MHS used every part of their arsenal to dismantle the gutsy Bees. Morgantown will play again after the first of the year.

JV'S ROUT JOHN MARSHALL 1/13/05
Elliott Law had another terrific game as he led the Mohigan JV”s to a 70-36 victory over the visiting Monarchs of John Marshall. A smooth shooting night by Jared Ramsey added 12 points and Derek Long and Cameron Taylor added 10 points a piece. Cameron had 4 blocks, as well. MHS (6-0) will host East Fairmont, next Tuesday at the MAC.

JV'S REMAIN UNDEFEATED (5-0) 1/08/05
MHS continued its winning ways with a 75-63 victory over Elkins on Saturday night.. MHS outscored to Tigers 18-0 in a two minute span, breaking open a close game in the third quarter. Leading the way with 11 points a piece was Andrew Saab and Derek Long. JT Lewis added 10 assists.

JV'S RUN RECORD TO 4-0 WITH A 58-31 VICTORY 1/07/05
MHS ran their record to 4-0 with a 58-31 victory over Brooke in Wellsburg. Leading a balanced attack with 9 points was Jamie Karraker. Andrew Saab and Elliott Law added 8 points a piece. Everyone scored for the Mohigans.

MOHIGAN JV TEAM STRUGGLES AT PRESTON 12/14/04
The Morgantown High Boys JV team recorded a 62-54 victory over the Knights on Tuesday evening, but it didn't come easy. Jamie Karraker led the team with 13 points and Elliott Law added 9 points and five rebounds. Jared Ramsey had 3 assists and 8 points, JT Lewis had 5 rebounds and 3 assists while Derek Long had 6 points, 4 steals and 3 assists. Cameron Taylor and Huston Stradder had 8 rebounds a piece. MHS (1-0) will play at East Fairmont, next Tuesday.
