MYBO VARSITY CLAIMS OHIO VALLEY INVITATIONAL

The MYBO Varsity team consisting of all Morgantown High players claimed the Ohio valley Invitational on Sunday in Parkersburg. Winning their pool, they advanced to the championship bracket where they defeated a team of UHS Hawks and Bridgeport 65-60, and Parkersburg 64-53 to advance to the championship. In the championship they defeated an all-star team from Charleston by a score of 66-38. Leading the team in points was sharp shooter Zach Cooke with 20 points. JT Lewis had a double- double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Anthony Schifano and Jay Fletcher had 10 points each as well. There were a total of 19 varsity teams in this tournament. The Varsity is 9-1 this spring and starts their summer league next week.

The MYBO 9th grade team lost in the tournament semifinals and one of the three eighth grade teams won the shootout championship. The MYBO 7th grade split team placed third.
