Freshman finish season 14-2 2/26/09
The Mohigan freshman team finish their regular season tonight with a 59-54 overtime victory against Fairmont Senior at home. The game was close throughout and provided plenty of excitement. Fairmont Senior had a very quick team and constantly harrassed the Mohigan guards. The Mohigans were ahead 51-49 in regulation with a few seconds on the clock when Fairmont Senior took a shot from just inside the 3 pt line and made it to send it to overtime. The Mohigans then outscored the Polar Bears 8-3 to finish out the game. Christian Allen finished with 25 points and Sam Lusk added 14.

Morgantown JV's are 15-0 baby!!!!!
The Mohigan JV’s ran their record to 15-0 after an 84-23 victory over Buckhannon last night. Jordan Barnett (15 points) and “Sniper,” TJ Elchuck led the way with 13 points and Ben Blemings finished with a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds. There are 10 players averaging 7 points or more per game. Taylor Price and Ben Blemings are averaging 6 rebounds per game.  

Ninth grade boys 9/8/09
Morgantown 49, University 31: Sam Lusk scored 18 points and Christian Allen scored 17 to lead the Mohigans (11-2) past the Hawks. Max Perrott led the Hawks with seven points.

Ninth-grade boys 9/5/09
Morgantown 62, North Marion 29: Christian Allen had 27 points to lead the Mohigans (10-2). Sammy Lusk added 15.

Freshman boys’ basketball Morgantown 58, Preston 35 2/3/09
The Mohigans won on the road as a blizzard raged outside. Josh Childs led the Mohigans (9-2) with 14 points, and Stephen Bradlyn had 12 points.

Freshman boys Morgantown 54, University 36 1/26/09
Christian Allen poured in 30 points, Connor Loudin grabbed 10 rebounds and Sam Lusk dished out five assists in MHS’s (7-2) victory against UHS. Travis Orinick and Max Perratt scored seven points apiece for UHS.

Freshman boys 1/23/09
Morgantown (5-2) beat Fairmont Senior, 53-44, behind Sam Lusk’s 19 points and 11 from Christian Allen.

Freshman boys 1/22/09
    Morgantown (4-2) beat East Fairmont, 52-19. Christian Allen led the Mohigans with a game-high 22 points while teammate Sam Lusk scored 10. Morgantown plays Thursday at Fairmont Senior.

MOHIGAN JV RUN RECORD TO 2-0
The Morgantown High JV team moved to 2-0 with a convincing victory over undefeated North Marion by a score of 70-29 on Monday night at the Rowdy Center. MHS moved out to a 42-10 lead at half time and never looked back in the NCAC tilt. Luke Meador scored 12 points to lead five double figure scorers. Scoring ten points each were: Carlton Drake, Michael Keffer, Taylor Price and Ryan Parsons. Ben Blemings is out with an injury as Morgantown will go on the road to Parkersburg South and Elkins later this week. They will host Martinsburg next Tuesday at the Rowdy Center.


JV's beat East Fairmont 12/24/08
The Morgantown jayvee team beat East Fairmont 86-44. The Mohigans had six different players score 12 points in that game.

Freshman move to 2-0 12/14/08
Coach Crouso’s Freshmen team moved their record to 2-0 with a 60-34 victory over Elkins on Thursday night. Sam Lusk led the team with 11 points and 5 assists, while Christian Allen and Bryce Fordyce added 8 points each. Tyler Filandino finished the evening with 7 points. MHS will host Preston on Tuesday evening.

Mohigan 9th grade open with impressive win 12/10/08
The Morgantown High Ninth Grade team opened the season on Tuesday night with a dramatic 56-54 overtime victory over Wheeling Park at the Rowdy Center. A crowd 150 fans watched the back and forth tussle between the two teams. Sam Lusk led the Mohigan charge with 20 points and 5 assists. Andy Maloney added 14 points and 5 rebounds. Christian Allen, held without a field goal in the first half finally got rolling late and finished with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Josh Childs and Connor Loudin led the team with 9 rebounds and Adam Kovac had 6 points. Morgantown will host Elkins on Friday at Rowdy Center at 6:00.
