MOHIGAN SCHEDULE RELEASED

The Morgantown High Boys Basketball schedule was released today, with twelve home games, expect the Mohigans to again challenge for state-wide supremacy. MHS will host a holiday tournament with Atholton from Columbia Maryland (20-6 last year) and returning 10 players, Mercyhurst Prep from Erie Pa (16-10), and Parkersburg South (14-10). Mercuhurst returns highly regarded 6”7 center, Josh Chojnacki and South returns 6’7 Aaron Goldsmith and the “speedy” Andy Caplinger. “Hopefully some people will come out and see this tournament, which is one of the best offered in the state, said Coach Hoffman. This will tell us what we are made of early in the season.”

On January 13, Martinsburg will visit MHS and February 7, Wheeling Park will invade. “I think Martinsburg will be the best team in the state and we owe Wheeling Park, said Hoffman. The game at Jefferson (February 14) will be a real challenge, but makes our schedule much more attractive.

Morgantown will host the Hawks of University on January 29 and visit the new UHS gym on February 12. MHS will host the sectional in early March and hopefully play in the regional later that month in the northern panhandle.
