PREP ROUNDUP

Sam Runner posted a double-double — 18 points and 14 rebounds — and Morgantown High equaled its highest point total of the season, both against East Fairmont, in an 88-53 boys’ basketball victory Wednesday.
The Mohigans led just 36-28 at halftime, but, “In the third quarter we took over, outscored them by 12 and the game was pretty much over at that point,” MHS coach Tom Yester said. “With our superior height, we got the ball inside. Runner had a nice big double-double and Carlton Drake had five rebounds.”
Taylor Price added 16 points for MHS, which beat the Bees, 88-37, earlier in the season.
“We pounded it inside, Price and Sam took care of business, and our post players dominated as they should,” Yester said.
Mike Keffer had four assists for MHS, which opens the PrimeTime Shootout at 5 p.m. Friday, at home, against Marion (Ohio) Franklin.
Bobbie Bartholow topped the Bees, with 20 points, and Tyler McCuthan had 13.
