The North Marion High boys’ basketball team was no match for Morgantown on Tuesday, as the Mohigans celebrated Senior Night with a 66-43 win.
The Mohigans (16-2) led by only eight points at the half, but pulled away late, riding the strong play of seniors Taylor Price, Evan Berryhill, Michael Keffer and Carlton Drake, all of whom scored in doubledigits.
“We didn’t shoot the ball well, especially from the foul line [21-for-37], but fortunately we got to the line a lot, which made up for it,” MHS head coach Tom Yester said. “I think we were a little thrown off by Senior Night, but we eventually put the hammer down.”
Price, Berryhill and Drake each had 12 points, while Keffer added 11. Price contributed seven rebounds to the Mohigans’ cause, while Berryhill had six boards and three assists.
The Mohigans play next on Thursday, when they host Fairmont Senior in a makeup game.
