MHS 64, BROOKE 46
Adrian powers Mohigans
The Dominion Post
Nathan Adrian scored 21 points and grabbed 19 rebounds to lead No. 4 Morgantown High past Brooke, 64-46, on Monday night, at the MHS gymnasium.
Dean Marshall finished with 11 points, while Nick Fulmer scored eight and Austin Agnew seven.
The Mohigans (15-4) built a 30-17 halftime cushion, only to see Brooke knock seven points off that lead in the third quarter. MHS rebounded with a 20-point fourth-quarter.
“It was a pretty lackluster performance,” MHS coach Tom Yester said. “We only had 11 turnovers, but they were bad turnovers. We had a couple of guys coming off illness and trying to knock the rust off their game.”
Eric Johnson and Russell Schwertfeger led Brooke with 12 points apiece.
