Freshman Coach Lindsay VanVoorhis joined the Mohigan coaching staff in 1998 as the Freshmen made their move to their first season at Morgantown High. Coach V played at MHS from 1970-1972. Coach was the starting point guard for Clyde Green's very successful 1972 team. Coach V started coaching at Morgantown Junior High in 1978 and coached there during its last two years of existence before moving to South Junior High School in 1980. He has coached at the 9th grade level for many seasons and has had outstanding success, winning several county championships during his tenure. His overall coaching record is 365-56 .
Coach VanVoorhis is the proud father of two daughters, Erin and Adrienne are students at WVU. Lindsay is a 25+ year veteran teacher in the Monongalia County School system and currently teaches at South Middle School. He and his lovely wife Gail live in Suncrest.
Coach VanVoorhis graduated from West Virginia University.
