Mohigans have won 29 of their last 32 games

Mohigan Journal by: Johnny Mo Higan

29-3 in the last 32 games or 40-5. That is the best record in the
state over the past two seasons. We are proud of our team and coaches.
Now it gets tough. MHS has to play at Fairmont Senior, then host
Parkersburg South before traveling to Martinsburg. These three teams
are in the top 7 of the latest rankings.
The JV's keep rolling at 16-1 and each player seems to be contributing.
I have been impressed with the shooting of the small but quick group.
The juniors have helped supply the necessary strength to be successful.
I talked to Coach Hoffman and mentioned that he was doing a good
job. He said, "The commitment of these players between seasons is
the key to their success. They deserve all the credit."
The 9th graders had a tough finish losing their last 2 games. I
think this will prompt this group to work harder. I think they will
be one of the best groups to go through in a while if they keep getting
better.
The Varsity claimed the NCAC Championship with their win over Buckhannon.
This is the first time they have won the league championship outright.
They have tied with other teams in the past but they own sole possession
this year. Way to go Mohigans!
I would like to request for everyone to come to Fairmont and support
the Varsity on Thursday at the Armory. Then Parkersburg South comes
to MHS on Saturday. We need great fan support to have a chance against
South.
