MOHIGAN
VARSITY ON BEST STREAK IN YEARS 24-4.
ThatÕs the record of the teams the Mohigans have defeated the last two
weekends. Martinsburg ranked 7th. Goes Down. Marion-Franklin,
ranked nationally. Goes down. Fairmont West, ranked 9th. Goes
down. This group of Mohigan Òroad warriors,Ó backs down from no one. In case
you havenÕt heard, on Friday, MHS defeated Marion- Franklin from Columbus by
a score of 70-68. Marion and their top ranked center (nationally), Elijah
Macon came to town and MHS held him to 6 points. Then on Saturday night, MHS
defeated 8-0 Fairmont West by a score of 60-52 in a battle for the top spot
in the NCAC, in Fairmont. MHS will host Buckhannon on Wednesday night at the
Rowdy Center and the game can be heard on WAJR or at mohiganbasketball.com.
Then on Friday, they travel out to UHS to take on the Hawks. MHS is now 7-2
on the season and have won 6 games in a row. |

JV pick up win at West The MHS
JV team picked up a 65-54 victory over West Fairmont on Saturday night at the
Armory in Fairmont. Alex Watson with 16 points, 4 steals, 4 rebounds an 4
assists. Nathan Adrian recorded a double-double with 12 points and 16
rebounds. Sammy Lusk had 6 assists, Conner Loudin had 11 points (several nice
jumpers,) and 7 rebounds. ÒSniperÓ Andy Maloney added 10 points. With a 7-1
record, they will host Buckhannon at 5:45 on Wednesday. If you canÕt come to

SUNCREST
WINS AGAIN The
Seals defeated East Fairmont last week at the Aquarium by a score of 49-34.
Scott Core continued his scoring binge with 13 points. Logan Hatch added 7,
Todd Turner, Andy Vac and Matt Johnson chipped in 6 points each.
Scott
Core goes in for two against the East Fairmont Hornets. Suncrest plays at Clay Battelle tonight and at Cheat Lake on Tuesday. On Friday they travel to West Fairmont. |
